TO REGISTER, MAIL:

  • Application package signed and filled out with all details
  • Accurate medication list
  • Behaviour protocol
  • Special diet information
  • Picture of camper/lodger
  • $100 deposit cheque
  • Post dated cheque for May 31 for balance of fees

* Registration is done on a first come first served basis starting in January.


CAMP ACCEPTANCE:

     Once your fully completed application has been reviewed you will receive two packages at the same time.

* all paper work must be completed in detail

MEDICATIONS:

  • All medications must be doctor subscribed
  • must be in pharmacy dispensed MULTI-BLISTER PACKAGES
  • must all have accurate pharmacy labels
  • all medications must be listed on our application package
  • do not send unneeded medications(vitamins/treatments/creams)
  • all medications are administered by health centre staff
  • provide enough medications for entire stay plus 2 days
  • only medications which follow the above rules will be administered
  • camp has own supply of PRN standing order medications
  • NO EXCEPTIONS MADE TO THE ABOVE RULES

ARRIVAL TIME:

     All arrivals are on MONDAYS between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Please make sure the camper/lodger is brought to camp by a qualified person who can answer all questions and can stay for full registration process.

PICK UP TIME:

     All pick up times are on FRIDAYS between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

  • must check out at health centre prior to leaving camp
  • will receive fee receipt at this time
  • a late fee of $50 per 1/2 hour per person in effect

SPECIAL DIETS:

  • must be described in detail on application form
  • if special food is required, enough for entire stay must be brought on opening day
  • diabetic diet information must be in detail

BEHAVIOURS:

  • must be described in detail on application form
  • protocols must be included with application
  • PRNs must have administration protocols

OPENING DAY PLEASE BRING:

  1. Photocopy of Health Card
  2. Photocopy of Drug Benefit Card
  3. All camp paperwork filled out
  4. Completed Clothing List
  5. Special food required
  6. Walk & Roll-a-Thon sponser sheet & money
  7. Spending money for tuck & trips(recommended $60 per week of stay)
  8. All medication in up to date pharmacy dispensed MULTI-PACK BLISTER PACKS

TRANSPORTATION:

     You are responsible for making your own transportation arrangements to and from camp.

POSSIBLE REASONS FOR BEING SENT HOME:

  1. Medications do not follow camp rules
  2. Lodger refusing to take medications.
  3. Medical and behavioral concerns not disclosed fully.
  4. Behavioral concerns that may put lodgers and staff at risk.
  5. Illness.

CANCELLATIONS:

     Cancellations must be received by mail or phone two weeks prior to arrival for refunds to be considered by the Board of Directors.

VISITORS:

     We allow visitors at camp. Please call ahead to make arrangements with the Director and ensure that the camper/lodger will be on property that day.

CLOTHING:

  • a clothing list is provided
  • label all items with permanent marker
  • send all items listed including bedding, hygiene supplies, attends, spare glasses, extra shoes and batteries for hearing aids
  • do not overpack
  • all items must be listed in detail on clothing list
  • laundry is done every third day
  • CAMP IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS

DO NOT SEND:

  • any electronics (walkmans, games, etc.)
  • portable chairs
  • expensive items which could get damaged or lost
  • instruments/bikes/garden hoses/tools
  • pop/snacks/sweets
  • aerosol containers
  • all money must be handed in to office during registration
