Board of Directors:

Belwood Lodge & Camp is run by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of past staff, parents, community liaisons and a representative of the Kiwanis Club of Guelph. The board meets approximately 6 times a year and helps plans camps' budget, set future directives and oversees the facilities and programs offered. The board is always looking for new members, if interested please contact the camp for dates of future meetings.

Camp Director:

The Director oversees all staff, health care, food, programs, care of campers, fundraising, registration, facilities and the day to day operations involved in running the camp. The Director works year round to ensure camp is always at its best.

Camp Staff:

Our seasonal staff consists of approximately 50 staff including an Assistant Director, a Health Centre staff, Program Director, Human Resource Director, Craft/Nature Director, Outtrip Director, Administrative Assistant, two behaviour counsellors, 2 lifeguards, 10 senior counsellors, 14 counsellors, 1 head cook, 2 assistant cooks, 3 dishwashers, 2 maintenance and 1 laundry person. Our staff come to camp from across our province to gain life long experience working with mentally challenged people. Throughout the year our staff work full time, attend university, college or high school. They are selected to work at camp due to their abilities, experience working with people and their eagerness to learn. All staff have their first aid, CPR certificates and provide camp with a police background check. Staff training is done at camp the week prior to campers arriving and done once a week throughout the summer.
